Doctor Joseph B. Marogil

A Board Certified general surgeon, Dr. Joseph Marogil was trained at Butterworth Hospital (currently Spectrum Health). Dr. Marogil started his practice in general surgery here in Grand Rapids in 1971. In 1986 Dr. Marogil joined the American college of Phlebology and started the Grand Rapids Vein Clinic soon after. Gradually Dr. Marogil focused his practice on the exclusive treatment of varicose and spider veins. 

Dr. Marogil was the first physician in West Michigan to use ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins, and later introduced Endo Venous Laser Closure. Excelling in this practice, Dr. Marogil has developed extensive experience in treating all stages and complications of venous disorders of the lower extremities, using surgical and non-surgical techniques.



 

Doctor Laura Kelsey

ImageDr. Laura Kelsey received her Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and her M.D. from Michigan State University. She specialized in general surgery and breast disease before joining the Grand Rapids Vein Clinic in 2005. Dr. Kelsey has presented at international meetings on the subject of blood coagulation, as well as publishing in a variety of medical journals. The skills and knowledge that she has gained over her career makes her perfectly suited to treat all types of vascular condition. Having spent most of her life in the state of Michigan, Dr. Kelsey is a valued member of the Grand Rapids community.
